Bullets and Bite Wings

Forgive me for straying away from cooking and coupons for a day. I witnessed a horrific crime about ten feet outside of the dental van where I work...it was very crazy and scary to say the least. Check me out on the news clip...

By the way, have you ever heard someone say that you should always wear clean underwear because you never know when you are going to be in an accident??? While I am happy to report that I did have on clean underwear, I learned another lifelong lesson today! I tend to brag that I get ready for work in ten minutes...no makeup, no hairstyling! It really doesn't matter how I look at work, and I have to get up really early!

Well, I learned today that you should always get ready for work, you just never know when you are going to be on the news! Please forgive the bad hair and no makeup!

Seriously though, this is such a sad situation and unfortunately we see a lot of violence in the streets where we work. I am so blessed that the Lord has protected me each and every day for over 6 years of this job. Please pray for the family of this victim, I can't imagine the pain they are going through right now.

Can you spot the real Katie in the video? Apparently they think that Lil Juicy works on the dental van!?!

Wow, that is scary. So is your dental van always parked in that area or do you change locations.

Scary! I live in Cincinnati too and I hate watching the news , that's all we ever see are more shootings.

Good thing you're safe, but we're going to have to talk about your spray tan...it's a little too dark!

Stay safe!

Praise the Lord you are ok! Goodness gracious...

You are beautiful inside and outside! In Sunday School class your husband (by the way the best teacher there is!) ask prayer for your safety at work. God has heard the prayers. You are a very special young woman. Your church family loves you very much. Kathy M

Wow, I bet that was scary. Cincinnati sounds like it's a pretty dangerous place to live.

Wow, that's scary. Glad you were ok. BTW, I love your blog. I came across it a few weeks back and check it regularly. I enjoy seeing what deals you've scored each week. I wish I was as savy when it came to shopping...just don't have it in me. :)

I run for cake,

No, we aren't always in the same place. We travel around to different Cincinnati Public Schools.

April,

Parts of Cincinnati are dangerous. We work in the worst places in the city...but I don't love there...thankfully!!!

Glad you were ok. I used to work on a mobile dental van but never experienced anything like that.
By the way, I love your blog!

Oh Katie, PTL that you are okay. How sweet of you to be thinking of the victim's family. I think you have such a natural beauty that makeup and "hairdo" is not necessary!
