Do you still have people asking you what you want for Christmas?
Are you getting into cooking and not sure what cookbooks are worth buying?
I have put together a list of my top ten FAVE cookbooks! I can assure you they are all worth purchasing, as I have tried many wonderful recipes out of each one. Since I am known to be quite the food snob...you can trust me and my tasting guidelines. These are the cookbooks that I run to when I am in need of a recipe.
I know this is a bridal edition, but if you are newer to cooking you need this. I received this as at a bridal shower. You can count on this to provide general cooking/baking knowledge and good reliable recipes.
This is my favorite baking book by far. I got to go to Rosie's bakery when I was in Boston (long after I became obsessed with her cookbook). The world's best brownies!!
Oh how I love Paula. She is famous for her wonderful home cooking style...which is my favorite style of cooking. She has given me so many recipes, but I have to say that her first cookbooks (these) are better than her newer ones.
Getting into freezer cooking? This is what you need. It was eye opening to me to see all of the different types of food that freeze well.
Again, more freezer recipes. They are inexpensive and both books have great recipes. I can't choose one over the other.
What can I say besides I love my crock pot. I have yet to try a bad recipe from this book...and I have had it for years!
I love Taste of Home magazine for their good, normal recipes. This cookbook is wonderful and full of winning recipes.
Betty Crocker is just awesome. This is my second fave Betty book...first is the bridal edition.
Another Taste of Home cookbook. I like them both equally and I have tried many recipes out of each. I actually have the edition before this, but they are pretty much the same.
Now this has some awesome desserts. I love the banana pudding recipe in here...best ever!

Thanks for the great list! I still have not given many ideas of what I want for Christmas. My ultimate beginner cookbook is The New Best Recipe. I also like the Taste of Home books and Gooseberry Patch, which is why I was so sad I didn't win your blogiversary giveaway!

I will have to keep an eye out of your cookbook, The New Best Recipe! You can never have too many cookbooks!
Those look like great cookbooks! I love Paula Deen and just went to her restaurant last month and had her Banana Pudding and it was delish. I need to get some of her cookbooks. I also want Pioneer Woman's cookbook. I'll add that to my list too :)
Emily, isn't her restaurant awesome! I have been wanting Pioneer Woman's cookbook, too. Oh man, I should have put that on my Christmas list :)
I love the Don't panic books, they are SO good, I also enjoy the BC Best Loved Recipes (I remember ALL those banana breads we made). :)
Hoping to get my first Paula Cookbook for Christmas this year. I put it on my list, guess we will see. :)

Yes...ALL of those banana breads...in one oven! I could never forget that. Remember you didn't believe they would taste good so you made us slice one and eat it to sample...and then make a whole extra loaf to give out. Oh man, that was like forever ago!
