It is the start of week 3 of the South Beach. I am excited to add some whole grains and fruit to the mix. I guess you could say Phase 1 was successful. The point of the Phase one is to curb your cravings for sweets by eliminating sugar. I am beginning to believe that I am a lost cause as far as that goes. I went the 2 weeks and I still would love a cupcake. My desire to bake and then eat that which I bake is as strong as ever!
The big thing with the South Beach is that weight loss is usually about 8-13 in the 2 weeks...or so they say. I only lost 6, but I guess that is still good...better than nothing!

I cheered for you seeing Oatmeal as a choice for breakfast. I wanted to say, you did GREAT sticking with Phase 1 for a whole 2 weeks. It truly is inspiring, considering I have tried and stopped various diets around Day 4. LOL
Great job! As always, your menu sounds delicious.
I completely forgot... Yeah on the weight loss too. You go girl! :)
Misty,
Thanks for the encouragement! I have a hard time with dieting until I truly make up my mind to do it (this time) and then nothing stops me...even though I do whine a little bit along the way!!
I know you could do it too!
I am totally impressed with resolve to stick to your diet. Great job!! Six pound weight loss is great!
Tightwad Mom,
Thanks! I don't want to go through the dreaded first 2 weeks...so I comply more out of fear..whatever works? LOL!
Hey girl - 6lbs is awesome!!! When I was losing all my weight I use to think this:
4 sticks of butter = 1lb body fat
You lost 6lbs which = 24 sticks of butter!!!
When you have a visual to think about its puts things in a totally different perspective!!
Keep up the good work, it will all come off before you know it - everyone's body is different. It took me 8 months to lose 30lbs and some months I only lost 1lb...also, you may have lost inches and not lbs. Just something to think about =)
Good Luck!
Shelby,
I love it! Now I will always compare weight loss to butter...sound much better!!!
Yes, I have lost inches. I took them a while back when I started working out. It is amazing to see inches lost.
