I shared in January that I am reading the Bible through this year. I have also been doing more studying in the Bible. This studying and reading has been great...but I needed something more. I really felt that I needed to memorize verses of the Bible. That way, I will hide them in my heart and don't have to go searching for them when I need them.
This is nothing new for me. A grew up going to a Christian school and every month we had to memorize a new chapter...a long chapter. I know that my memorization skills aren't as great anymore, so I am not even trying to do a whole chapter right now.
Every 1st and 15th of the month I am choosing one new verse to memorize. I take that 2 weeks to not only memorize it, but to study and dissect it. I pick a verse that I need in my life, that way I can call it out when needed.
This has been awesome, and I hope some of you will consider doing the same thing.
Here is my current verse:
"And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9

I love Faith of a Foodie. I look forward to reading it each week. I know that God's word will become more precious the more you read and memorize.
This is my FAVORITE day of the week. I love church, family time and I LOVE Faith of a Foodie! :)
This is by far THE best way I have learned to memorize scriptures... It has truly been a blessing in my life.
Psalm 119:11 says "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." POWERFUL!
Keep it up girl! :) Thank you for showing Christ in ALL you do! :)
