Your Money God's Way by Amie Streater

I thoroughly enjoyed reading, “Your Money God’s Way” by Amie Streater. As Christians, it is so important to understand what God has to say about our finances. After all, He has given us everything we have; it is our responsibility to use it wisely. If we don’t know what God has to say, it is easy to be overcome by counterfeit convictions.

In this book she breaks down seven counterfeit convictions that Christians fall prey to. The reason people easily believe these myths is that they are born out of Biblical truth, but sadly twisted. Of the convictions covered are the Saviors or Enablers, the Self Righteous Slackers, and God is an ATM, to name a few.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to spend their money more wisely. Most of the counterfeit convictions were pretty basic to me, but I still gained a lot of insight. I am a born saver, but I recognize a lot of people are not. She challenged me to sit down and take another look at our budget and see if there is an area we can save more.

Amie doesn't mince her words, she is quick to give you that loving kick in the behind...and really, don't we all need that when it comes to money? I also appreciate the Christian perspective Amie has, which puts much emphasis on tithing and giving back to God what is already His. Too often that is left as either a personal decision, something to do when you can "afford" it, or even something simply left out of God's word!

Disclosure: I received this book free from the publisher through Book Sneeze blogger program. I was not required to write a positive review; all opinions are my own!
