Preventing Tupperware Stains

Do you hate stained tupperware?

I sure do. I used to just throw them away if they were stained. It grossed me out. Really though, I have come a long, long way from where I started. When we first got married I bought reusable containers to store leftovers...even though I didn't eat leftovers. Consequently, it ended up that every trash day I had a fridge full of leftovers and I knew I needed to get rid of them and clean the containers.

Problem was...again, it grossed me out. I ended up throwing the reusable containers out every week and buying new. After all, they are disposable, right?

I guess after countless dollars had been wasted I wised up to my ridiculous behavior and got beyond my grossed out state. I began to reuse them and even learned a little trick along the way.

To prevent stains spray the tupperware with a nonstick cooking spray before filling them up.

It works great with tomato based foods that tend to stain them in a heartbeat.
