Keep Your Produce Fresh!

Have you ever gone on a healthy kick and loaded up on fresh fruits and veggies, only to find that they go bad before you can use them all? This has definitely been a problem for me. After many times of effectively letting my money rot, I decided I needed to remedy this!

I don't know about you, but produce seems to take a big portion of my grocery budget. While I strive to keep my budget low, I don't want to sacrifice our health. Sticking to produce on sale will definitely save you money. Also, you can buy produce that is in season...that helps the budget and you get better stuff!

Recently I discovered this awesome resource for storage on all kinds of produce. It answers all those questions such as...how do I store it and where do I store it. Go check it out at Farm Fresh to You !

Do you have any frugal produce tips?

This is helpful. I have a bad habit of buying lots of fresh produce, but having some of it spoil before I can use it. Making a weekly menu has helped a lot in this area to.

Misty stole my comment! - What a fantastic resource. I'm so glad you shared. I can't tell you how many times I've wondered if the way I keep a certain veggie or fruit is really the best way!
