Children's Dessert Auction

I thought I would share a picture of one of the cakes I made this weekend! You may remember those nine baby shower cakes I did back in February, this is really similar to them! I had some leftover candy "stuff" and decided to do it again...after all, I like candy...and kids like candy! (I really can do more than candy cakes, that just seems to be the only cakes that appear on here)

Our church had a dessert auction Sunday night to raise money for our children. You could donate money to a great cause and take some goodies home with you. You can't beat that!

The whole auction raised $1,300! My cake brought in $220! There were so many yummy homemade desserts there-cupcakes, cakes, cookies, homemade cinnamon rolls-just to name a few.

I was so happy to participate, the kids are really going to benefit from the money raised!

Cakes everywhere...

I told you all I was going to be busy caking this weekend. Here pictures of my creations in case you are interested! All 9 of these cakes were for a baby shower today. They were a ton of work, a ton of mess, and a ton of fun. I really hope you enjoy looking at them!

My only real instructions were they had to be candy themed, blue, fun, and all different. So I got to come up with all my own designs. I was really pleased with how they turned out. I love doing cakes, but there is nothing I love more than turning out cute cakes, having happy customers, and having my house cleaned up! Let me tell you my kitchen was a wreck! I had cakes, candy, icing,and DISHES everywhere. Oh, and thanks to my mom who helped a ton!

I couldn't decide which one was my favorite. I really love them all, they each have little things I love. I love that they are all similar and very different at the same time. If I had to pick I would say that #7 and #9 are my very favorites!
